The Uganda skateboarding scene continues to grow in strength, skill, and creativity. As the year comes to a close, four standout skaters have been officially nominated for Uganda Skater of the Year, each recognized for their unique style, progression, and impact on the local skate community.
Out, Jovic “Spinner” has delivered an exceptional year defined by high-level technical skating. Known for precision, control, and complex trick execution, Spinner has consistently pushed technical street skating forward, setting a new benchmark for difficulty and consistency.

Ibrahim “Skatepablo” has been taking over transition skating across Uganda. With confidence, flow, and power on bowls and ramps, Skatepablo has established himself as a leading force in transition skating, inspiring a new generation of skaters to explore vertical and curved terrain.

Morzart Sk8 stands out as one of the most versatile skaters in the country. Comfortable on almost any obstacle, he has showcased fearless skating by landing switch backflips and a caballerial flip on one of the highest and gnarliest banks. His adaptability and commitment continue to push the limits of what is possible.

Calvin earns his nomination through unwavering consistency and technicality. Session after session, Calvin delivers clean, controlled skating and steady progression, proving that discipline and reliability are key drivers of long-term growth in skateboarding.

Together, these four nominees represent the diversity, progression, and future of Ugandan skateboarding. The Uganda Skater of the Year winner will be officially announced on the last day of 2025, marking a powerful close to another landmark year for the local skate scene.
