On 16th October 2021, the Embassy Of Sweden in Kampala partnered with Uganda skateboard society and hosted the first Girls Skateboarding Boot Camp at Mukono Xtreme Park.

This event was also part of the celebration of the International Day Of The Girl Child according to Embassy Of Sweden in Kampala which included both break dance and skateboarding workshops to girls of ages from 5-18 years. 

We wrapped the event up with giving out certificates of participation to all the participants.

Azader Alian-Söderqvist, the head of political and economic affairs section and the organiser of the event on behalf of the Swedish Embassy.

She added that, “The Girls Skateboarding boot camp will be host annually at the skatepark.”
